J-POP SUMMIT FESTIVAL 2011 has 2 days of programming at the Pagoda Stage, on Post Street, and inside the NEW PEOPLE Building.

MC Foxxee will return to kick off our 2 day festival with DJ VEX MODE‘s energetic music. All vendors, food trucks, games, and installations, as well as NEW PEOPLE building is already to take on the J-POP Crowd!

Japan Foundation LA invites Japanese Calligrapher Aoi Yamaguchi whose ambition is to transform two-dimensional art of Japanese Calligraphy into the art of physical expression through performances.

Joined by designer and producer Takeshi Wakabayashi from Kyoto, Japan, SOU・SOU’s first U.S. fashion show will showcase NEW PEOPLE and SOU・SOU’s new collaboration line. Enjoy the art of bold designs and traditional craftsmanship.

LA meets Tokyo in San Francisco! DJ Amaya and ZANEEDS that rocked out thousands of fans at the Nokia Theater during this years AX will join together on J-POP SUMMIT’s main stage to take turns mixing up some mean Miku remixes!

Mike “BAM!” Tyau (rhymes with ‘meow’) has been creating graffiti art since 1983 during the NYC B-boy era. On Sunday the 28th, watch Mike “BAM!” paint a live graffiti art all day in the Peace Plaza. The artwork will be silent-auctioned to raise funds for Japan.
