It has been an incredibly emotional and hard year for the country and the struggle to rebuild continues. Those who were directly affected still need all the help we can give. Please take this one year mark as a moment to reflect the loss, the great tragedy, and be inspired again to donate to the continual effort to raise support funds. At NEW PEOPLE, we have charity goods and artwork for sale which the proceeds are donated. We also have further information on where to directly donate listed below on this page. Thank you all for your love, prayers, and continued support.

eatrip
To eat is more than a necessity – it’s a universal experience all human beings share. In the film, director Yuri Nomura embarks on an insightful journey throughout Japan to examine the daily rituals of eating among people from different walks of life. Actor Tadanobu Asano, singer UA, and fashion designer Jurgen Lehl are among those featured. From the Tsukiji fish market to a farm in Okinawa, the film offers poignant interviews with intriguing personalities including the head monk of a famous Buddhist temple; a distributor of Japanese soup stock (Bonito broth); an Okinawan woman leading a self-sustainable lifestyle devoid of modern conveniences; a tea ceremony master, and a musician and writer who recites poems about food. Trailers and additional information on the film is available at: www.eatripfilm.com.
Eatrip was an official selection of the Montreal World Film Festival 2009 in the Documentaries of the World category; the Vancouver International Film Festival 2009; Le Festival International du Film d’Environnement 2009 (Paris); and the Barcelona Asian Film Festival 2010.
