NEW PEOPLE / VIZ Pictures were invited to be a part of the 2009 Asian Heritage Street Celebration. With our booth on Larkin Street, we enjoyed a hot day of fun festivities at the one day celebration. Back in May 2009, we were still awaiting the completion of our building and were taking serious notes from our big sister street festival on how to make it all happen. Now with NEW PEOPLE open and J-Pop Summit Festival’s success, we like to thank Asian Heritage Street Celebration for their support and we look forward to a prolonged relationship. Represent! Calling all artists! Submission deadline is Friday, February 12, 2010

We are teaming up with The Asian Heritage Street Celebration 2010 and Kearny Street Workshop to host the annual poster competition for the 6th Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration.

Organizers are looking for innovative artists to create an exciting and unique image. The winning artwork will become part of the personality for this year’s event and will be featured in posters, postcards, Muni bus ads, BART banners, bus shelters, newspaper ads and in a TV commercial.

6th Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration is to be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 in front of the Asian Art Museum leading up to the Little Saigon District.
